Filmmaker Shuchi Talati will appear in person at Landmark's Nuart Theatre on Friday and Saturday, September 27 & 28 for Q&As after the 7:15pm shows.

In a strict boarding school nestled in the Himalayas, 16-year-old Mira discovers desire and romance; but her sexual, rebellious awakening is disrupted by her mother, who never got to come-of-age herself.

Writer/director Shuchi Talati is a filmmaker from India whose work challenges dominant narratives around gender, sexuality, and South Asian identity. Her debut feature film GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS won the World Cinema Dramatic Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival.
