Wild at Heart

Novelist Barry Gifford's saga of lovers on the run gets filtered through the singular eye of screenwriter/director David Lynch, becoming a Molotov cocktail of comedy, sex and violence. Nicolas Cage is Sailor, whose sharkskin jacket symbolizes his individuality and belief in personal freedom; Laura Dern is Lula, who may just be his one true love.
